Dartmoor pasty pie

  • 550g Chuck Steak (put through mincer once)
  • 1 Large Onion (thin slice)
  • 1 level tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 medium to large potato (thin slice)
  • 1 large turnip (thin slice)
  • 1tblsp water
  • Salt and Pepper
  1. Layer ingredients within pie case, seasoning each layer with salt, pepper and herbs.
  2. Cover with pastry lid and glaze with beaten egg.
  3. Bake at 200 degrees for 15 mins lower temp to 180 degrees and cook for further 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Can be served hot or cold.
