Steak & chips, with chilli sauce
- 2 Fillet steaks
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 sprigs of rosemary
- 700g of potatoes
- 1 tbs tomato sauce
- 1 tbs barbecue sauce
- 1 tsp chilli sauce
- 1 tbs worcestershire sauce
- 1 tomato chopped
- 2 tsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp cornflour
- 1 tsp water
- 1 tbs oil
- Preheat the oven to 200ºC
- Wash the potatoes and cut into thick chunky chips
- Parboil for 5 minutes, add the rosemary leaves (if using), and cook for 35 mins.
- For the Chilli Sauce – Fry 1 onion and tomato until soft.
- Add the sauces and vinegar. Bring to the boil and let it simmer, add cornflour to thicken.
- Lightly season the steaks with salt and pepper and grill to your preference (5-6mins for medium-rare)
