Frequently Asked Questions
We hope that the following “FAQ’s” will answer your queries if not please don’t hesitate to contact us by e-mail (any time) or by phone in office hours. We will be happy to help.

What if I am not in?

Your order will be sent in a specially insulated food box. If you are not going to be at home when the delivery is expected our courier will leave the box with a neighbour or in a safe place. Details must be confirmed at the time of placing the order.

What is the carbon footprint of nationwide deliveries?

When you buy from The Dartmoor Farmers Association you are purchasing beef and lamb of the highest quality. There is also the added bonus in knowing that your order has generated a “negligible carbon footprint” The food miles are so low that even long distance deliveries generate significantly smaller footprints than many traditional means of shopping.

Where do you deliver to?

Our deliveries are nationwide although there may be an extra delivery charge for any remote or” logistically challenging” addresses. If this is the case we will inform you by e-mail before processing the order.

How do I pay?

Payment is generally through our web site. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and American Express Cards. We do not accept Solo or Electron.
Cheque payments can be made by prior arrangement.

I’m reluctant to give my credit card details online. How secure is the system?

Our internet site uses a 100% secure–server. We use this and only this to transfer your card details. Although details are taken at the time of order, payment will only be taken when the order has been packed. A payment confirmation will be packed inside the box at the time of dispatch also an invoice showing order content and total price paid.
