As autumn descends this mild weather has not only been spoiling us, but the ewes now either with the ram or waiting for his arrival are looking well, some would say too well! But if last winters cold and snow can stay away then hopefully those twin baring ewes won’t have to work quite as hard this winter.

It's been a while, I didn't think you guys would want to hear about August, as frankly all I would do is rant on about the weather... We did manage to rip of some silage but I think my cows will turn their noses up at most of it! In human terms it would be like eating soggy cardboard with slug dressing!

Busy shearing sheep for the last two weeks, and glad to see the back of that job for a while, backs been aching a bit. The sheep in around the farm are all done and the ones on the open moor can wait until the silage is done!
